York University offers student-athletes the opportunity to participate at the highest level of university competition. Excellent facilities, an experienced, dedicated coaching staff and expert support staff are available to assist you and your team as you strive for sport excellence.

For over 40 years, York University has been making its mark on the Canadian sport scene. Provincial and national team titles, combined with numerous athletes and coaches who participate on many of Canada's national teams, attest to the success of York's interuniversity sport program.

Since the inception of organized interuniversity competition in 1965, York has won 164 provincial banners and 29 national titles. More than 550 student-athletes on 23 sport teams represent York University in Ontario (Ontario University Athletics 'OUA) and Canadian (Canadian Interuniversity Sport 'CIS) interuniversity sport competition.

Sport & Recreation at York is committed to the educational mandate of the University as well as a broad range of program offerings across the physical activity continuum.
